Awarded in Wildlife Photographer of the Year!

I'm very honoured to announce that for the second time, I have been awarded the Rising Star Portfolio Award (previously the Eric Hosking Portfolio Award) in the London Natural History Museum Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition!

Given this is considered to be the "Oscars of nature photography", I feel so fortunate to be featured among such a talented and dedicated contingent of photographers!

The winning image of a Black Bear inspecting my camera trap was made in a temperate rainforest in British Columbia. To view the other five photographs in my portfolio, click here to visit the gallery.

All six photographs will be included in an exhibition in the London Natural History Museum from October 16th, 2015 until April 10th, 2016. To see more information on the exhibit, click here.

Prints and canvases of all photographs are available - click here to find out more information.

Thanks very much to all who support my photography!

2015 Fritz Polking Junior Prize

I'm proud to announce that my Mountain Goat images have been successful in winning the prestigious 2015 Fritz Polking Junior Prize!

This award is given out by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Tierfotografen (GDT) and Tecklenborg publishing house, and recognizes either a portfolio of single images, or a photographic project.

Over a year ago I headed out to southeast B.C to photograph Mountain Goats, and after a long time of holding back the top images, they're finally available for viewing. Spending time with the goats was perhaps the most fun I've had taking pictures. They've always been a species that I wanted to photograph, and everything finally came together and worked out in my favour!

The 2015 North Shore Photographic Challenge

I will be one of the judges at this year's North Shore Photographic Challenge! The Challenge takes place on March 7th, 2015, and includes images by photographers from B.C and Yukon. For more information, please click on the photo below.

Hope to see you there!

Stanley Park One-Day Workshop

Last weekend, myself and Jess Findlay held a one-day nature photography workshop at Vancouver's Stanley Park.

We had a great day! The weather, people, and wildlife opportunities were all awesome. Participants had great opportunities to photograph species such as Common Merganser, Bufflehead, Lesser Scaup, Wood Duck, American Wigeon, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Bald Eagle, and Raccoon.

Thank you to all who attended!
